Senior Software Engineer – C#/.NET

πŸ“ Reading, Berkshire | Hybrid (2 days onsite / 3 days WFH)
πŸ’° Β£60,000-Β£65,000

We're working with a client in Reading who is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their engineering team. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to stay deep in the code β€” designing, building and shipping high-quality software, with real input into architecture and technical direction.

If you've got deep C#/.NET experience, a strong handle on CI/CD pipelines, and you want to keep developing your craft as an individual contributor, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design, build and maintain scalable applications using C# and.NET
  • Own and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines, driving automation across build, test and deployment
  • Contribute to key architectural decisions, balancing pragmatism with long-term maintainability
  • Write clean, well-tested, production-grade code and set the standard for quality through your own work
  • Work across the full software development lifecycle, from design through to deployment and support
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical debt
  • Collaborate closely with product and QA to ensure smooth, reliable releases
  • Take part in code reviews, sharing knowledge and feedback with the wider team

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
