£65,000–£85,000 + benefits + 28 days holiday (+ bank holidays)

Remote-first in England, the team meet up once a month in London max.

You’ll join as the second engineer, working directly alongside the Founding Engineer with genuine ownership across the product rather than being one engineer in a massive team.

They’re building a modern discount platform for 18–25 year olds, similar to UNiDAYS or Blue Light Card, and the entire platform has been built from scratch.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • TypeScript / Node.js
  • React / Next.js
  • React Native
  • GCP (open to AWS)
  • Vercel
  • APIs / Cloud Functions
  • Distributed systems & background workflows

Ideally you are a full-stack engineer across TypeScript, Node.js React, Next.js with a little bit of mobile who enjoys taking ownership and solving problems. You don’t need everything else in the stack. I’ve included it to give you visibility of the environment you’ll be working in.

They’re also very AI-native. They want engineers who use AI to move faster, but who have the engineering fundamentals to understand, challenge and take ownership of what it produces rather than blindly relying on it.

It’s a small team of around 8–9 people, so you’ll be expected to muck in, challenge ideas and have a real say in how the product and engineering function develop. As they grow, there’s scope to move into mentoring, hiring and technical leadership.

It’s remote-first anywhere in the UK, with roughly 1 day a month in London for team time. They also offer flexible hours and care more about output than sticking rigidly to 9–5.
