Senior Fullstack Software Engineer
Manchester | £65,000–£85,000 | Hybrid – 3–4 days onsite
This is a chance to join a scaling AI business at the point where the engineering team, product and technical structure are all being shaped.
Following further investment, customer numbers and revenues are growing, new products are launching, and the engineering team is expanding to support what comes next.
At the centre of that is an AI-native product built around real-time, conversational experiences.
This isn't an established platform that's recently had an AI feature added. AI has been fundamental to the product from the beginning, creating interesting engineering challenges around real-time interactions, latency, reliability, scalability and new ways for users to interact with software.
They're now hiring a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to take significant ownership across the product, working closely with the CTO and senior leadership as the engineering function scales.
More than working through a backlog
You'll work across Python, TypeScript, React building customer-facing products and features from end to end.
Rather than being handed a detailed ticket and asked to implement it, you'll be given problems to solve.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You'll work with Product and Design to understand the problem, shape the solution, make technical decisions and then build it.
As one of the senior engineers, you'll also have the opportunity to influence how the engineering team develops. If leadership or people management interests you, there's room to move in that direction as the team grows. If you want to remain a hands-on IC, that's equally viable.
The experience that matters
You'll ideally bring:
- Strong experience building and shipping customer-facing software
- Strong backend engineering experience, ideally Python with Django and/or FastAPI
- React and TypeScript
- Experience taking products or features from an initial problem through to production
- Strong software engineering fundamentals
- Experience building reliable, scalable applications
- The ability to work effectively across Engineering, Product and Design
Python is preferred, but this isn't about ticking every technology box. Strong backend engineers coming from Node.js/TypeScript or another modern stack can still be considered if you're comfortable moving into Python.

GCP or AWS experience would also be useful, particularly if you've had exposure to deployments and cloud infrastructure.
You don't need to be an AI Engineer
You'll be building the product and engineering experience around an AI-native platform, working alongside engineers specialising in AI.
The team actively uses AI within software development too. The important distinction is being able to use those tools to move faster without outsourcing your engineering judgement to them.
Strong fundamentals and the ability to understand, review and challenge generated code matter more than simply being able to generate it.
Why join now?
You'll be joining while new products are launching, the engineering team is expanding, and its future structure is still being built.
That means joining as a Senior Engineer now gives you considerably more influence than joining once the team and technical direction are already established.
If you enjoy solving product problems rather than simply completing tickets and want genuine ownership over what gets built and how, apply to find out more.
