Software Alliance Limited (SAL) is a UK-based specialist software house, founded in 2006 to deliver financial modelling software and services for the insurance industry. Its flagship product, Mo.net, is used by clients worldwide for financial modelling, analysis, and strategic decision-making. SAL continues to grow as a market leader, offering opportunities to work on impactful, globally used software. We are looking for a Senior Developer to help shape the future of our products.
Role Description
You'll work closely with our Head of Engineering to design and build the next generation of our platform while continuing to enhance and support our existing software, including our Windows desktop application and web-based financial modelling platform.
We're currently modernising our software solutions, so your ideas, experience, and technical expertise will have a real impact. You'll play an important role not only in development, but also in influencing architecture, technical direction, and engineering standards.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance our existing software platforms.
- Work closely with the Head of Development to design and build our next generation products.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making.
- Research, evaluate, and introduce new technologies where appropriate.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation.
- Share knowledge and support other members of the team.
- Continuously look for ways to improve our products, processes, and engineering practices.

Qualifications
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience delivering production-quality systems.
- C#
- ASP.NET Core (.NET 8/9/10)
- WPF and MVVM
- RESTful APIs
- SQL Server and Entity Framework Core
- OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0 and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Multithreading and concurrent programming
- Unit and integration testing
- System design and software architecture
- Azure DevOps CI/CD Pipelines
- Experience with Azure or similar cloud platforms
- Experience building secure applications
- A good understanding of cybersecurity principles
