Senior Software Engineer
Signum People are hiring a Senior Software Engineer for a global market leader based in Hertfordshire. You will join an innovative engineering team developing advanced scientific and digital solutions using C# and.NET, that integrate software, hardware and autonomous systems, that help customers solve complex real-world problems.
The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in the design, development and enhancement of modern.NET applications used within sophisticated automated systems.
You'll be involved in:
- Developing high-quality.NET software across desktop, embedded and backend environments.
- Designing user-focused applications that interact with connected equipment and automated processes.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative products and features.
- Contributing to software architecture, technical strategy and coding standards.
- Supporting junior team members through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
- Exploring new technologies and continuously improving development practices.

What We're Looking For
Essential Skills
- Strong C# and.NET expertise
- Desktop application development experience
- Excellent knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP)
- Knowledge of MVVM
- Experience building user interfaces using XAML / WPF is highly beneficial
- Solid understanding of software design and architecture principles
- Experience with testing methodologies and DevOps practices
- Interest in AI-assisted development best practice
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
It is also highly desirable that you possess experience working within scientific, industrial, pharmaceutical or other highly regulated sectors, and have worked alongside embedded software engineering teams using Linux and C++.
