This isn’t a role for someone who just wants “AI” on their CV.
They’re looking for a strong software engineer who can take a messy problem, figure out the right approach, and turn it into reliable, scalable software.
The key thing is being able to move beyond the prototype stage. You’ll need to understand how to build things properly, make sensible technical decisions, and get software into production. You’ll also have plenty of ownership. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, help shape the technical direction, and have a real say in how the product develops.

Ideally, you’ll have:
- Strong Python skills and solid software engineering fundamentals
- Experience building with LLMs, RAG, or other AI tooling
- Good SQL and API knowledge
- The ability to explain technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical people
