Contract Software Engineer (C#.NET)
Location: Luton (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
Duration: 12-month contract
Rate: Up to £76 p/h Inside IR35
Full UK Security clearance is essential
We’re looking for an experienced security cleared C#.NET Software Engineer who thrive in fast-paced, high-impact environments and can deliver with minimal supervision. You’ll be joining a cutting-edge team within an Integrated Mission Solutions division, contributing to advanced Electronic Warfare programmes. This is a chance to work on state-of-the-art defence technology within a well-established and mature development environment.

Key Skills
- Strong commercial experience in C# .NET development, including web-based applications
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design and modern software development methodologies
- Proven experience across the full software lifecycle, including automated testing frameworks
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and practices
- Ability to work independently and deliver high quality solutions with minimal oversight
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and microservices architecture
- Background in defence or Electronic Warfare domains
- Experience with WPF, WinForms, and Visual Studio
- Familiarity with tools such as DOORS, Cameo, and Azure DevOps

Key Responsibilities
- Developing robust, scalable applications using C#.NET in a Windows environment
- Owning complex tasks across the full software lifecycle from requirements and design through to integration, testing, and delivery
- Applying object-oriented design principles and best practices in verification and validation
- Collaborating with a highly skilled team while maintaining autonomy in your work
