Senior Software Engineer | TypeScript, Node.js, React, AWS | IoT & Real-Time Data | AWS | Infrastructure | Hybrid | Up to £90,000 + Bonus
Are you a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys working across both software engineering and infrastructure?
Do you enjoy building products that interact with the real world, rather than just another SaaS platform?
Would you like to work on a modern TypeScript platform processing huge volumes of real-time IoT data from connected devices deployed across the UK?
I'm currently partnered with a growing technology business that builds and operates its own end-to-end IoT platform, combining connected devices, cloud infrastructure and data-driven software solutions to deliver real-time monitoring and compliance systems at scale.
As part of their continued growth, they're looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer to join a small, highly technical team building the next generation of their platform.
The role
This is a genuinely hands-on role with a strong emphasis on backend engineering, cloud infrastructure and systems thinking.
You'll spend most of your time building new features and services on a modern TypeScript platform, whilst also contributing to infrastructure, deployments and platform reliability.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
