Senior Full Stack Software Engineer | Financial Services | AI Consultancy | London

Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £120K

I’m currently looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join an AI consultancy’s Financial Services team.

Our client builds and deploys AI solutions that help organisations solve complex business problems. Having worked with over 350 global customers, they combine deep engineering, data science and product expertise to turn AI into practical, measurable results.

Within their Financial Services team, you’ll build platforms that help financial institutions become more efficient, enhance customer experiences and make better use of complex data. It’s an environment where technical excellence, responsible AI and reliable software delivery go hand in hand.

Role: Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

We’re seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer who can lead complex projects, guide technical decisions and raise engineering standards across frontend and backend development.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role, ideal for someone who wants autonomy, architectural influence and ownership from early prototype through to production. You’ll work closely with Data Scientists, Product Managers and customers to build scalable platforms that bring AI-powered insights to life. Alongside delivering software, you’ll mentor junior engineers, set standards for code quality and translate challenging business requirements into robust technical solutions.

What You’ll Bring

  • Significant backend development experience in Python or TypeScript ecosystem
  • Deep TypeScript expertise and strong frontend engineering skills using modern frameworks such as React
  • Proven architectural ownership of complex software projects, from design through to successful delivery
  • Cloud experience deploying production systems on AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Strong containerisation and infrastructure-as-code experience with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes or Terraform
  • Excellent full stack problem-solving skills, with high testing standards using frameworks such as Jest or Cypress
  • Experience mentoring and guiding engineers, setting technical direction and promoting engineering best practices
  • Confident communication skills, working with multidisciplinary teams and senior customer stakeholders
  • An ownership mindset, turning loosely defined problems into polished solutions while balancing rapid prototyping with long-term reliability
