Software Engineering Specialist – Executive Presentation Review
Type: Contractor
Compensation: $150–$350/hour

About the Opportunity
micro1 is engaging experienced Software Engineering Specialists to contribute technical expertise to a customer project focused on advanced presentation design, technical communication, and engineering documentation.
Selected specialists will apply their software engineering knowledge alongside presentation and technical communication skills to create, reconstruct, and refine professional materials. The work will help train next-generation AI systems by providing high-quality, technically accurate, and visually effective examples of real-world engineering communication.
Prior AI experience is not required. Your software engineering expertise and ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly are the primary qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and reconstruct technical presentation slides to improve clarity, accuracy, structure, and visual impact.
- Design visually compelling presentations that communicate complex software engineering concepts effectively.
- Develop and integrate data visualizations that support technical narratives and engineering insights.
- Edit and refine technical content for accuracy, coherence, clarity, and alignment with industry best practices.
- Document system architectures, engineering processes, and technical workflows in clear and structured formats.
- Apply critical thinking to evaluate and improve the storytelling flow of technical presentations and materials.
- Ensure technical content is appropriately structured for its intended audience.
- Collaborate asynchronously to deliver organized, accurate, and high-quality materials for AI training purposes.
- Review completed deliverables for technical accuracy, presentation quality, and consistency.

Required Qualifications
- Proven professional background in software engineering.
- Strong familiarity with modern system architecture and engineering practices.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and presentation design principles.
- Strong skills in data visualization and transforming technical information into clear visual narratives.
- Experience creating or reviewing technical documentation for engineering audiences.
- Strong content editing skills with an ability to identify and correct technical or communication issues.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Excellent written communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong critical-thinking and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently in an asynchronous, remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience creating executive-level technical presentations.
- Experience communicating system architecture, software platforms, engineering workflows, or technical strategies through visual materials.
- Experience translating complex technical data into executive-ready presentations.
- Strong understanding of presentation storytelling and information hierarchy.
- Experience collaborating with technical and cross-functional teams on documentation or presentation deliverables.
- Previous experience with AI training, evaluation, or benchmarking is a plus.
