Senior Software Engineer .NET
Contract
6 Months
£500 - £550
Remote - Must be UK based or Ireland
A SaaS payments platform is looking for an experienced.NET Developer to join on a 6-month contract. As a.Net Developer you'll be building and extending core payment processing services, transaction handling, settlement workflows, and merchant-facing APIs on a product where reliability and data integrity really matter.
What you'll be doing:
- Design, build, and maintain backend services in C#/.NET, focused on payment processing, transaction handling, and settlement workflows
- Work closely with product and platform teams to integrate payment gateways and third-party financial services providers
- Write clean, thoroughly tested, production-grade code, with reliability and data integrity front of mind given the nature of a payments product
- Help shape API design (REST/gRPC) across both internal services and merchant-facing integrations
- Take part in code reviews, technical design discussions, and ongoing CI/CD pipeline improvements
- Operate within a secure, compliance-conscious environment, with an expectation of PCI DSS awareness

- Strong hands-on C# and.NET Core/.NET 6+ experience
- Solid REST API development (ASP.NET Core Web API)
- SQL Server + Entity Framework Core
- Comfortable in a cloud environment (Azure preferred)
- Payments, fintech, or other high-integrity transactional systems experience is a strong plus
- Microservices, message queues, and Docker experience desirable
