Senior Software Engineer – Search & AI Platform

A global technology and information services organization is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a team developing scalable search, data, and AI-powered platforms.

The role focuses on building intelligent backend services that work with knowledge graphs, search and recommendation systems, and large-scale research and information datasets. You’ll work across distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, APIs, and graph technologies to deliver reliable solutions that support advanced discovery and data-driven applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable graph-based search services and backend applications.
• Build services using Java, Spring Boot, Spring, GraphQL, and GraphQL Federation.
• Integrate databases, web services, and cloud services to support ingestion, storage, and messaging pipelines.
• Work with technologies including Neo4j, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, and AWS Parameter Store.
• Develop and maintain robust APIs using GraphQL and REST.
• Apply clean code principles, SOLID practices, architectural patterns, and modern engineering standards.
• Contribute to technical standards and mentor other engineers.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to deliver advanced search and recommendation capabilities.
• Build and maintain reliable cloud-native services using AWS and Kubernetes.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability practices to maintain system reliability and performance.
• Contribute to CI/CD, Agile development, and continuous engineering improvements.
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies where they can improve product capabilities and engineering outcomes.
