Senior Software Engineer - Belfast
Belfast | Hybrid | 3 days in office
I'm working with a well-established technology company in Belfast that is continuing to grow its engineering team and invest in modern technology.
They're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the team and work on the development of large-scale applications and services. This would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on, likes solving complex technical problems and wants to have a real say in how solutions are designed and built.
What you'll be doing
- Developing and improving large-scale software applications
- Working across backend services with some full-stack exposure
- Getting involved in technical design and architecture
- Working with modern cloud and container technologies
- Helping improve development practices and engineering standards
- Working closely with other engineers, product and technical teams
- Taking ownership of projects and seeing them through from idea to delivery
- Supporting and mentoring other developers where appropriate

What we're looking for
You don't need to tick every box, but ideally you'll have:
- 5+ years' commercial software development experience
- Strong experience with TypeScript
- Experience working with microservices
- Good knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience working with AWS or another major cloud platform
- Strong understanding of software design and architecture
- A genuine interest in building reliable, scalable software
