About the Opportunity

We're partnering with an innovative HealthTech company transforming how healthcare providers identify risks, deliver preventative care, and improve patient outcomes through advanced technology and data-driven insights.

The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll take technical ownership of designing and delivering scalable cloud-based services that power critical healthcare applications. You'll work closely with product, data, engineering and clinical teams, while helping shape architectural decisions, engineering standards and technical direction across the team.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Taking ownership of complex backend systems and technical initiatives
  • Designing and building scalable backend services and APIs
  • Developing robust data ingestion and processing pipelines
  • Leading architectural decisions across infrastructure, automation and DevOps
  • Deploying and managing cloud-native applications
  • Driving engineering best practices around code quality, testing, scalability and reliability
  • Collaborating with engineers, data scientists and domain experts to shape technical solutions
  • Coaching and mentoring engineers, with a pathway into wider squad leadership

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Strong backend development experience using Python
  • Proven experience designing and building scalable production systems
  • Strong experience with AWS
  • Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
  • Experience developing data ingestion or ETL pipelines
  • Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation or similar)
  • Experience with serverless architectures such as AWS Lambda
  • Experience contributing to architectural and technical decisions
  • Strong communication skills and experience working cross-functionally
  • Experience mentoring engineers or providing technical guidance
