Senior Software Engineer – AI & Product Engineering
Location: UK / Remote
Level: Senior / Staff
We’re looking for senior, hands-on software engineers to join an AI-first engineering environment building the next generation of products for the insurance industry.
This is an opportunity for an engineer who enjoys ownership, autonomy and solving complex technical problems — from initial idea through to production.
What you’ll be doing
- Building and owning production-grade software across backend and frontend
- Designing scalable APIs, distributed systems and event-driven services
- Working with AI, LLMs and agentic technologies to build intelligent products and platforms
- Contributing across the full development lifecycle, from architecture through to deployment and operation
- Working closely with product and engineering teams to turn ambiguous problems into scalable solutions
- Using AI meaningfully throughout your engineering workflow to improve how you build, test and ship software

What we’re looking for
- Strong experience as a Senior or Staff Software Engineer
- Excellent backend engineering experience, ideally with Node.js and TypeScript
- Experience with React or a modern frontend framework
- Strong experience with AWS and cloud-based production systems
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, APIs and distributed systems
- A genuine understanding of AI/LLMs and modern AI engineering
- Experience building or shipping AI-powered products, agents, RAG systems or GenAI features is highly desirable
- A hands-on mindset with the ability to take ownership and operate effectively in ambiguity
