Lead Developer
The Lead Developer is responsible for providing technical leadership across software development projects, ensuring the successful design, build, and delivery of high-quality solutions. The role combines hands-on development with technical oversight, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement, helping development teams deliver robust, scalable applications in line with project requirements and best practice.
Working as part of a collaborative team, the successful candidate will provide technical guidance, support delivery activities, and contribute to continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle. They will be expected to work independently with minimal supervision while supporting and developing other team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and configure applications using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Produce, maintain, and refactor complex application code and technical documentation.
- Ensure development activities adhere to agreed quality standards, development methodologies, and best practices.
- Apply appropriate development standards, tools, and techniques to deliver well-engineered technical solutions.
- Translate business and client requirements into technical specifications for development teams.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues and defects.
- Participate in peer reviews and lead technical reviews of colleagues' work to ensure quality and consistency.
- Support the planning and delivery of projects, helping to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
- Collaborate with technical teams to design, implement, and monitor system integration activities.
- Define and oversee complex integration solutions, ensuring integration environments are correctly configured and maintained.
- Design, execute, and document integration testing activities, reporting outcomes and recommendations.
- Mentor and coach developers, promoting technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Participate in client and stakeholder meetings, providing technical expertise and clear communication throughout project delivery.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Microsoft Certified: PL-400 Power Platform Developer.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure services as part of Power Platform solutions.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality technical documentation, knowledge transfer, and handover materials.
- Experience leading technical teams and providing guidance throughout the software development lifecycle.
