About the Role

NVIDIA's Compiler team is dedicated to bringing best-in-class compiler technology to NVIDIA's developer community spanning across multiple domains like Deep Learning/ Machine Learning, High Performance Computing, Graphics, and Automotive. NVIDIA is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to be a key member of our Compiler Development team. A best-in-class professional who will be directly responsible for delivering the newest and most up-to-date compilers to our developers and the success of various product releases. A strong leader who is an authority in cross-functional team coordination, comfortable in a matrixed organization, responsible for driving software development and documenting the process from concept to delivery. As an independent problem solver, you will engage in initiatives relating to process development/implementation for the Compiler organization.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Hands on driving software programs and processes.
  • Leading multi-functional team members in a matrix organization to deliver projects on time.
  • Leading projects in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Authoritatively presenting project status to multi-functional teams as well as executive management.
  • Working independently, take-charge, and influence with minimal mentorship.
  • Working with global partners across multiple time zones, geographies, and diverse technical fields to define work you're doing, report on status, and deliver projects to expectations.
  • Influencing other teams by creating an efficient/accountable development environment through process development and process improvement.
  • Observing and following defined processes for escalation if the execution of planned work product tasks is not on track.
  • Thinking strategically and tactically. Someone who can distill sophisticated projects down to manageable tasks and landmarks and optimally disseminate them to the multi-functional teams.

What We Need To See

  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical degree.
  • 8+ years in a similar or related role.
  • Passionate about details and an authority at multitasking.
  • Validated Software Engineering background and technical skills.
  • Ability to investigate technical issues. Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of operating systems, software development standard methodologies, and compilers are highly valued.
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Creative problem solver, able to resolve technical issues and conflicting priorities.
  • Track record of understanding and implementing the foundational program management skills; risk management, tracking and monitoring, meeting facilitation, domain expertise, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd

  • Craft and implement new processes for workflow between different teams.
  • GPU, CUDA, Compiler, and/or AI knowledge.
  • Experience with project management tools, like JIRA (Atlassian Project Management & Teamwork Software), MS Project. Implementing tool automation in support of this role is a plus.
  • Creatively resolving technical issues and resource conflicts through consensus and team building to deliver sophisticated products to customers.
  • Project Management Professional Certification.

Compensation

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is:

  • Level 4: 168,000 USD - 258,750 USD
  • Level 5: 200,000 USD - 322,000 USD

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
