The team, led by Keith and colleagues, provides tailored advice, guidance, and practical support across governance, administration, and a wide range of legal matters. Clients turn to ProArtsPlus when setting up new charities, drafting or reviewing legal documents, or navigating complex disputes. The firm is committed to collaborative working, clear communication, and solutions that reflect the unique needs of mission-driven and artistic organizations.
Role Description
The Senior Solicitor will provide expert legal advice to clients in the creative, cultural, and charity sectors, managing a varied caseload and delivering clear, practical guidance. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Conducting client consultations
- Drafting and reviewing contracts and other legal documents
- Advising on governance and regulatory compliance
- Representing clients in negotiations and dispute resolution

The role involves collaborating closely with colleagues to develop robust legal strategies and maintain high professional standards, while contributing to the growth and reputation of ProArtsPlus. This is a part-time hybrid role based in Sheffield, with regular in-person meetings and office work complemented by the option to work from home for part of the week.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law with demonstrated experience as a qualified solicitor, including sound judgment and ethical practice.
- Applied expertise in Employment Law, advising on contracts, workplace policies, and dispute resolution.
- Qualified to practice as a solicitor in the UK, with relevant professional membership (e.g., SRA registration).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex legal issues in accessible language.
- Proven ability to manage a part-time caseload efficiently, prioritise competing demands, and work effectively in a hybrid environment.
- Experience working with or advising creative, cultural, or charity organisations is highly beneficial.
