Senior Solicitor & Eastleigh Office Lead

Eastleigh, Hampshire
£55,000–£70,000 depending on experience
Full-time | Permanent | Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm | Office-based

We are looking for an experienced solicitor to take the lead at Wildcat Law’s Eastleigh office.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who enjoys the variety and client contact of high-street practice and would like the opportunity to take genuine ownership of a local office.

You will lead an existing team of two paralegals and a solicitor apprentice, supervise their work and manage your own caseload, while becoming the senior legal presence within the Eastleigh office.

The role

The Eastleigh office receives a broad range of enquiries from individuals, families and businesses. We are therefore looking for an experienced solicitor who is comfortable dealing with a varied caseload and who has the judgement to identify what they can deal with themselves and when a matter should be referred to another specialist within the firm.

Your work is likely to include a combination of:

  • civil and commercial disputes;
  • contentious and non-contentious private client work;
  • wills and probate matters;
  • company and business enquiries;
  • contractual disputes;
  • general high-street legal enquiries; and
  • supervising and developing junior members of the team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

We do not expect one person to be a specialist in every area. We are more interested in finding an experienced, commercially minded solicitor with a strong core practice area, broad legal knowledge and the confidence to deal with clients, supervise junior lawyers and take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the office.

About you

You are likely to be an experienced solicitor who:

  • is confident running matters independently;
  • has a broad background in private client, civil litigation, commercial work or another relevant high-street practice area;
  • enjoys direct client contact;
  • is comfortable supervising and developing junior lawyers;
  • has good judgement and knows when specialist input is required;
  • is commercially aware and interested in helping to develop a growing office;
  • enjoys working as part of a small, collaborative team; and
  • wants a role with real autonomy and responsibility.

Experience as a Senior Solicitor, Associate, Head of Department, Salaried Partner or in a small/high-street practice would all be particularly relevant.

Why this role?

This is not simply another fee-earner position. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of an established office, lead an existing junior team and play an important part in developing Wildcat Law’s presence in Eastleigh. For the right person, there is significant scope to shape the role and the future development of the office.
