About the Firm
Our client is a highly regarded Top 200 UK law firm with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality, commercially focused legal advice to a diverse client base.
Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its established Commercial Litigation team in Reading. The team advises businesses, individuals and organisations across a broad range of contentious matters and offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial litigator to take on a senior role within a successful and collaborative department. My client is very flexible with regards to on site requirements and can accommodate up to 3 days working from home weekly.
About the Role
The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of commercial litigation matters, including:
- Commercial and contractual disputes
- Shareholder and partnership disputes
- Professional negligence claims
- Breach of contract and warranty claims
- Director and shareholder disputes
- Debt recovery and insolvency-related disputes
- Business and corporate disputes
- Property and real estate-related litigation
- Injunctions and urgent applications
- Alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and settlement negotiations
- Court proceedings and advocacy

As a Senior Associate, you will also play an important role in supporting the development of the team, supervising and mentoring junior lawyers, contributing to business development and building strong relationships with clients and professional contacts.
About You
- Qualified Solicitor with strong Commercial Litigation experience, ideally 5+ PQE
- Proven ability to independently manage a varied and complex litigation caseload
- Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of commercial disputes
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills
- Strong understanding of civil procedure and litigation strategy
- Excellent client care and relationship-building skills
- Commercially minded with a pragmatic approach to resolving disputes
- Experience supervising, mentoring or developing junior lawyers
- Ambitious and keen to contribute to the continued growth of a successful team
