Senior Solicitor (Corporate & Commercial)
Starting salary - £60k increasing with PQE

Nixon McQuade are working with a leading international law firm to recruit a Senior Solicitor to join its Corporate & Commercial Digital Legal Delivery team in Belfast.

The Role

  • Managing and delivering a broad range of corporate and commercial legal matters, including due diligence, commercial contracts, regulatory projects, transaction support and corporate restructurings.
  • Supervising Solicitors, Trainees and Legal Analysts, providing day to day guidance, mentoring and technical support.
  • Leading the scoping, set up and delivery of client matters, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements and corporate documentation.
  • Working with innovative legal technology, including AI-powered tools and document automation, to improve legal service delivery.
  • Supporting legal project management, including pricing, budgeting, resource planning and matter management.
  • Liaising directly with clients and collaborating with colleagues across multiple legal teams on complex matters.
  • Assisting with business development activities, including preparing pitches, attending client meetings and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Contributing to the development of legal processes, best practice and technology enabled solutions across the wider team.
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of corporate and commercial legal developments, as well as emerging legal technologies.

The Person

  • Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a minimum of 3 years' PQE, ideally gained within Corporate and Commercial law.
  • Experience gained within a private practice law firm or an in-house legal team.
  • Strong background advising on corporate transactions, commercial contracts, due diligence or wider corporate legal matters.
  • Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior legal professionals.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
  • A genuine interest in legal technology, innovation and the use of AI within legal services.
  • Strong communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Commercially minded with a proactive, collaborative approach to delivering practical legal solutions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, team oriented environment.
