Due to continued growth and the acquisition of more complex, serious injury cases, a rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced personal injury solicitor to join our team.

What you’ll be working on

You will handle your own portfolio of pursuer injury claims both pre-litigation and litigated, including basic injury and complex, serious injury claims. You will have a strong focus to generate fee income and contribute to the general success of the team.

Day-to-day

  • Delivering excellent client care to our clients who have suffered from a traumatic and life-changing event.
  • Instructions and meetings with clients and expert witnesses.
  • Analysis of evidence and research of legal issues on liability, causation, and quantum.
  • Drafting documents including statements, pleadings, and all court documents.
  • Securing early interim payments and appropriate rehabilitation.
  • Optimising your client’s settlement.

Ability to work within a task-based case management system to ensure regular contact is maintained with all clients, providing exceptional customer service and managing their expectations.

Raising awareness of the department and developing your profile by regularly reporting cases, preparing articles and testimonials and commentary on relevant, current issues.

Conduct regular technical and case reviews, providing updates and feedback to management.

Supervision, mentoring, endorsing court documents and assisting in the development of junior members of the team as appropriate.

Perform to a high level in a target-oriented environment.

To undertake any other tasks as deemed relevant and reasonable by the business.

You should apply if

  • You have at least 5 years or more PQE in Personal Injury.
  • Proven track record of dealing with injury claims as well as complex, high value loss.
  • Commitment to delivering excellent client care for each of our clients.
  • Excellent communication skills to include negotiation and objection handling.
  • Accountable for achieving objectives in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining high standards of work quality and client care.
  • Competent working with a case management system and good knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
