What You'll Do
- Design and own end-to-end architectures for complex, distributed software solutions.
- Translate business, functional and non-functional requirements into scalable technical designs.
- Define and review APIs, integration patterns, orchestration and event-driven architectures.
- Ensure solutions meet high standards for resilience, availability, security, performance and maintainability.
- Act as a senior technical authority, guiding engineering teams on architecture, design patterns and technology choices.
- Review and challenge solution designs to ensure consistency across interconnected systems.
- Support teams with complex technical and production issues, including root-cause analysis and sustainable remediation.
- Work closely with Product, Business Analysis, Architecture and Engineering stakeholders throughout delivery.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies and opportunities for modernisation.

What you bring
- Strong senior-level experience in solution architecture, system architecture or software engineering within complex environments.
- Proven experience designing distributed, event-driven systems, APIs and system integrations.
- Strong understanding of .NET / C# and the ability to engage credibly with development teams.
- Good knowledge of Angular and modern web application architectures.
- Experience designing systems with demanding availability, resilience, security and performance requirements.
- Ability to turn complex business and non-functional requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions.
- Experience acting as a technical authority and constructively challenging architectural and design decisions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in regulated or financial environments is advantageous.
