Position Description

Discover where complex transformation meets meaningful impact as a Senior Solution Architect within CGI's Scotland & Northern Ireland Business Unit. Working at the heart of our Growth Operations team, you'll collaborate with experts across CGI to develop winning propositions, solve complex challenges, and help organisations across the public and private sectors embrace the future with confidence. You'll be empowered to take ownership, contribute fresh thinking, and grow your career in a collaborative environment where your expertise makes a lasting difference.

CGI was recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2025 and has been named a UK ‘Best Employer’ by the Financial Times. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a CGI Partner not just an employee. We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. Join us and you’ll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We’ll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.

Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. Whilst this is a hybrid position you must ideally be based in Northern Ireland or be willing to travel to Northern Ireland regularly as required.

Your future duties and responsibilities

As a Senior Solution Architect, you will act as the Solution Owner on major strategic opportunities, leading the definition and assurance of complex technical solutions that enable successful digital transformation for our clients. Working closely with business, technical and commercial stakeholders, you'll ensure every solution is innovative, achievable, commercially competitive and aligned to client objectives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
