Senior Solution Architect - AI & Automation
Remote - UK
Up to £80,000
VIQU are partnering with a leading enterprise organisation embarking on a large-scale AI and automation transformation, investing heavily in intelligent technologies to enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation across the business. They are looking for a Senior Solution Architect - AI & Automation to lead the design of enterprise-scale AI, automation, and workflow solutions, working closely with business stakeholders, architecture teams, and engineering functions to deliver secure, scalable, and future-focused technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of enterprise AI, Generative AI, and intelligent automation solutions, ensuring alignment with business strategy and architectural standards
- Define end-to-end solution architectures across AI, automation, cloud, and enterprise platforms
- Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Design integration strategies across complex enterprise environments using APIs, microservices, messaging, and cloud-native technologies
- Provide architectural oversight throughout project delivery, supporting engineering teams to ensure successful implementation
- Produce and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and solution artefacts using Enterprise Architecture tools
- Ensure solutions meet security, governance, compliance, resilience, and scalability requirements
- Contribute to technology roadmaps, architecture standards, and the ongoing adoption of emerging AI and automation technologies
- Mentor Solution Architects and provide technical leadership across the wider architecture function

Key Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Software Architect, or similar role designing enterprise-scale AI, Generative AI, and intelligent automation solutions
- Strong experience architecting cloud-based solutions across Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud platforms
- Extensive experience working with Microsoft technologies, including 3-5 years' hands-on experience with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power Pages)
- Strong understanding of Machine Learning, Generative AI, MLOps, DevOps, and the delivery of scalable AI solutions
- Knowledge of enterprise integration technologies including APIs, microservices, JSON, XML, messaging solutions, ESB, and SOA
- Experience working with Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and Enterprise Architecture tooling
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, including Scrum, backlog management, Epics, and User Stories
- Knowledge of database technologies including SQL and NoSQL, alongside modern data management best practices
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences
- Microsoft Solutions Architect certification is desirable, although AWS Solutions Architect certification will also be considered
