MRJ are exclusively partnering with one of the UK's leading technology-driven organisations as they continue to invest heavily in AI, Intelligent Automation and enterprise-wide digital transformation.
This is an opportunity to shape the future architecture of a business embracing Generative AI, automation and cloud technologies at scale. Working as part of an established Architecture practice and alongside an AI & Automation Centre of Excellence, you'll design enterprise solutions that have genuine business impact across multiple functions.

The Role
We're looking for an experienced Senior Solution Architect to lead the design of AI-powered and Intelligent Automation solutions across a large-scale enterprise.
You'll work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Technical Architects and Engineering teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable technology solutions aligned with long-term strategic objectives.
This is a highly influential role where you'll help define architectural standards, shape technology roadmaps and ensure AI solutions are secure, scalable and commercially effective.

- Design end-to-end enterprise solutions across AI, Generative AI and Intelligent Automation.
- Define solution architectures that align with business strategy, architecture principles and technology standards.
- Partner with Product Owners, Engineering teams and senior stakeholders to translate business challenges into technology solutions.
- Design integration strategies across APIs, microservices, enterprise platforms and cloud environments.
- Guide engineering teams through delivery, ensuring solutions remain aligned with architectural standards.
- Define AI architecture principles, governance and best practice across the organisation.
- Produce high-level and detailed solution designs, technical documentation and architecture artefacts.
- Identify technical risks, security considerations and scalability challenges throughout delivery.
- Contribute to technology roadmaps and evaluate emerging technologies to support future innovation.
- Coach and mentor Solution Architects while helping develop the wider Architecture function.
What They're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Software Architect or Enterprise Architect.
- Strong experience designing enterprise AI, Automation or Generative AI solutions.
- Excellent understanding of cloud platforms including Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
- Experience designing large-scale distributed architectures using APIs, Microservices and modern integration patterns.
- Strong knowledge of Machine Learning, MLOps, DevOps and AI delivery practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power Pages).
- Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
- Experience producing architecture documentation, standards and governance.
- Strong stakeholder management with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Passion for innovation with the ability to balance technical excellence against commercial delivery.
