Senior Solution Architect - Temenos - Banking

Excellent opportunity opens for an experienced Solution Architect to join a growing UK Bank as their new Senior Solution Architect. This is a crucial role where you will own the architecture of the banking systems and work hand in hand with senior stakeholders across the Bank. The successful candidate will have excellent experience with information, security, and application architecture and a background in financial services.

Responsibilities:

  • Help mature the design approach for the banking systems and contribute to architecture roadmaps and the wider Enterprise Architecture.
  • Develop an integrated view of the Technology Architecture using repeatable approaches, cohesive frameworks, industry-standard techniques and reference models.
  • Provide architecture governance and technical oversight across change initiatives, assessing conceptual, logical and solution architecture artefacts produced by third parties and internal teams.
  • Work with Technology, business stakeholders, programme management, Service Delivery and third-party suppliers to define pragmatic, cost-effective and workable solutions.
  • Maintain and improve architecture standards, principles, repositories, assurance processes and the Bank's Technology Governance Framework.
  • Present complex architecture matters clearly, manage technology risk, mentor less experienced architects and deputise for the Architecture Team Lead where required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
