Join bp’s Refining and Products Trading as a Senior Solution Architect focusing on biofuels. This is a unique opportunity to shape the digital backbone supporting a rapidly evolving and strategically important part of bp’s portfolio.
You will define and drive the technology vision supporting biofuels trading, compliance and supply chain operations, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient and aligned to regulatory and commercial priorities. This role operates at domain level, influencing how multiple products and platforms come together to deliver business outcomes.
You will work with senior business and technology leaders to simplify complexity, guide investment decisions and unlock value through modern architecture and data-driven capabilities.

In This Role You Will
- Own and drive the architecture vision and roadmap for the biofuels domain
- Ensure architectural coherence across multiple products, platforms and teams
- Lead complex design decisions and resolve cross-domain trade-offs
- Define and evolve architecture standards, patterns and reference architectures
- Provide leadership across cloud, integration and data architecture
- Shape data strategy including domain models, governance and interoperability
- Find opportunities for optimisation, automation and advanced analytics including AI/ML
- Partner with senior stakeholders to align technology direction with business strategy
- Lead architecture governance and represent the domain in decision forums

Essential Experience and Requirements
- Extensive experience in solution, domain or enterprise architecture roles
- Strong functional understanding of biofuels, trading or compliance environments
- Proven experience leading architecture across multiple teams, products or programmes
- Strong expertise in cloud (AWS), integration and data architecture
- Track record of defining strategy and long-term roadmaps
- Strong collaborator engagement skills at senior leadership level
- Experience establishing and enforcing architecture governance and standards
- Familiarity with TOGAF or similar frameworks
Desirable Criteria
- Deep experience in biofuels or regulatory/compliance-driven environments
- Exposure to optimisation or advanced analytics platforms
- Experience with enterprise data platforms and data products
- Practical experience applying AI, ML or GenAI in trading or supply chain contexts
