Senior Solutions Architect - AWS
Location: Belfast, hybrid working
Salary: Up to £120,000
Office requirement: 1-2 days per week
We are working with a leading AWS Premier Tier Services Partner that is looking to hire a Senior Solutions Architect to join its growing cloud team.
This is a customer-facing role combining pre-sales architecture with hands-on project delivery. You will work directly with AWS, support existing enterprise customers, and design scalable cloud solutions across a variety of complex environments.
The role will be approximately:
- 20% pre-sales and solution design
- 60% project delivery
- 20% customer engagement, technical leadership, and ongoing account support
Key Responsibilities
- Design secure, scalable, and commercially viable AWS cloud solutions.
- Lead the technical delivery of cloud transformation, migration, and modernisation projects.
- Work directly with AWS teams on customer solutions, technical strategy, and project delivery.
- Support pre-sales activity, including discovery sessions, technical workshops, solution design, and proposal development.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to existing customers.
- Translate business requirements into detailed cloud architectures and delivery plans.
- Present technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Support the development of cloud standards, best practices, and reusable solution frameworks.
- Collaborate with engineering, delivery, sales, and account management teams.

Essential Experience
- Strong commercial experience designing and delivering solutions within AWS.
- Previous experience working as a Solutions Architect, Cloud Architect, or Senior AWS Consultant.
- Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience delivering cloud migration, modernisation, or transformation projects.
- Ability to lead technical discovery sessions and architecture workshops.
- Experience supporting pre-sales engagements and creating technical proposals.
- Strong understanding of AWS architecture principles, security, networking, governance, and cloud-native services.
- Ability to balance technical design, commercial requirements, and customer objectives.

Desirable Experience
- AWS Professional-level certification.
- Experience working for an AWS Partner, consultancy, or managed services provider.
- Experience working directly with AWS account teams.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, and automation tooling.
- Experience with enterprise or regulated customer environments.
