Must-Have Skills

  • 12+ years of IT experience with at least 5+ years as Solution Architect.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale banking transformation programs.
  • Strong experience engaging with senior business and technology stakeholders.
  • Proven delivery of large-scale banking transformation, cloud migration or modernisation programmes.
  • Deep banking domain expertise covering core banking, payments/cards, lending, KYC/AML, risk, compliance and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong payments knowledge: SWIFT, SEPA, CHAPS, Faster Payments, Open Banking and PSD2.
  • End-to-end solution architecture, including architecture blueprints, HLD/LLD, roadmaps, reviews and governance.
  • Strong microservices, event-driven, domain-driven and API-first architecture experience.
  • Cloud-native and hybrid architecture experience on Azure, AWS or GCP.
  • Enterprise integration using REST/SOAP APIs, Kafka or MQ and platforms such as APIGEE, MuleSoft or Azure Integration Services.
  • Application architecture exposure to Java/Spring Boot, .NET Core or Node.js, plus Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
  • Strong data architecture knowledge across SQL/NoSQL, data warehousing, big data and data lakes.
  • DevOps and automation experience with CI/CD, GitHub/Jenkins, Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Security architecture, authentication, authorisation, data protection and banking regulatory compliance.
  • Strong senior stakeholder engagement, technical leadership and globally distributed team leadership.

  • Banking platforms such as Temenos, Finastra, FIS, Oracle Banking, Murex, Calypso or SAP Banking.
  • TOGAF, cloud architect or Kubernetes certification; AI/GenAI banking exposure is advantageous.
