Senior Solution Architect

Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: Circa £120K

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect to join a growing architecture function during a significant technology transformation programme. This role offers the opportunity to help shape architecture capability, supporting modernisation, cloud adoption, AI initiatives, and business-critical transformation projects. Operating across a broad remit, you will work closely with senior business stakeholders, technical teams, product owners and delivery functions to design scalable, secure and commercially effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end technology solutions aligned to business goals and architecture principles.
  • Produce high-level solution designs and review low-level technical designs.
  • Translate business requirements into practical technology solutions.
  • Act as the bridge between senior stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
  • Contribute to architecture governance, standards, design patterns and best practices.
  • Define integration approaches across enterprise applications, SaaS platforms and cloud services.
  • Support large-scale transformation and modernisation programmes.
  • Evaluate technology options and provide recommendations for build vs buy decisions.
  • Ensure solutions meet security, scalability, resilience and performance requirements.
  • Mentor technical leads and support the development of architecture capability across the organisation.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience working in greenfield or low-maturity architecture environments and helping establish architecture practices.
  • Strong experience in Solution Architecture within complex enterprise environments.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft technologies, cloud services and SaaS platforms.
  • Experience delivering application, integration and cloud architecture solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage both C-suite executives and technical teams.
  • Experience producing HLDs and reviewing technical designs.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, integration patterns and enterprise application architecture.
  • Experience supporting cloud transformation, application modernisation and migration initiatives.
  • Exposure to AI technologies, Microsoft AI services or enterprise AI programmes.
  • Broad architectural mindset with the ability to contribute across solution, enterprise, data and business architecture domains.
  • Experience working within TOGAF-aligned or similar architecture framework.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
