Senior Solutions Architect (AI/GenAI Specialism) - Up to £100k

UK Based - Fully Remote

Our client are the fastest-growing AWS Premier Partners in the UK & EMEA, named AWS Rising Star Partner of the Year (EMEA & UK&I) specialising in cloud consultancy, migration, managed services, cloud governance, FinOps and AI/ML, helping organisations unlock the full value of AWS with global with offices across the UK, Australia, South Africa, Singapore, Dubai and the Philippines.

Role Overview

Our client are seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to join their Professional Services team on a permanent basis. You will lead on AI and GenAI engagements as your primary specialism, while also contributing across the broader AWS delivery portfolio including migration, modernisation, Landing Zone and cloud governance engagements.

You will own the client-facing pre-sales cycle for AI/GenAI work – running scoping calls, designing solutions on Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker and associated services, estimating effort, writing commercially sound Statements of Work, and providing ongoing strategic advisory to customers. Beyond AI, you will apply your broader AWS experience to scope and deliver wider Professional Services engagements as the pipeline demands.

You will act as a fractional CTO or technical programme lead for strategic accounts, maintaining long-term advisory relationships and identifying expansion opportunities across all service areas. While the primary focus is solution design and pre-sales, this role also carries hands-on delivery where capacity allows. They value architects who stay technically current and want to get their hands dirty alongside the delivery team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design AI/GenAI solutions on AWS (Amazon Bedrock, Bedrock Agents, Amazon Q, SageMaker, associated serverless and data services) and produce architecture documentation for customer engagements.
  • Scope and design broader AWS solutions including migrations, Landing Zones, modernisation and cloud governance engagements as required by the pipeline.
  • Run technical scoping calls with customers, translate business requirements into deliverable technical solutions, and produce accurate effort estimates across AI and wider AWS engagements.
  • Author Statements of Work to Cloud Bridge quality standards – clear scope, success criteria, assumptions, risks, fee schedules and project plans.
  • Navigate AWS partner funding programmes to maximise funded engagement value for customers.
  • Act as fractional CTO or technical programme lead for strategic accounts – maintaining advisory relationships, identifying upsell and cross-sell, and ensuring programme coherence across multiple SOWs.
  • Set technical direction for delivery engineers – reviewing architecture decisions, unblocking delivery issues and ensuring SOW deliverables are met.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Demonstrable experience designing and delivering AWS solutions in a consultancy, Professional Services or partner environment – not limited to AI/ML.
  • Strong working knowledge of Amazon Bedrock (Agents, Knowledge Bases, Guardrails, model selection), Amazon SageMaker (training, inference, pipelines) and the broader AWS AI/ML service portfolio.
  • Experience with agentic AI patterns – tool use, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation methodology and production deployment considerations.
  • Solid grounding in core AWS services (compute, networking, storage, security, identity, serverless) – sufficient to scope and deliver engagements beyond AI/ML.
  • Proven ability to author detailed, commercially sound Statements of Work – scoping, estimating, structuring deliverables and managing assumptions/risks.
  • Confident in customer-facing environments – comfortable running discovery sessions, presenting architectures and advising C-level stakeholders.
