Senior Digital Solution Architect

📍 Location: London, Manchester, Newcastle, or Glasgow

✈️ Travel: Up to 1–2 times per month

💼 Type: Permanent


We are currently hiring for a Senior Digital Solution Architect on behalf of a leading global digital transformation consultancy.

This role offers the opportunity to work on complex digital transformation programmes across both public and private sector organisations, helping clients design and deliver modern, scalable, and user-centric digital services.

The Role

As a Senior Digital Solution Architect, you will work within multidisciplinary product and engineering teams to architect innovative digital solutions for enterprise clients.

You will be responsible for designing end-to-end solutions, defining architecture patterns and technical blueprints, and supporting agile delivery teams throughout the full project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing scalable, secure, and cloud-native digital solutions
  • Defining end-to-end architecture across applications, integrations, and platforms
  • Working closely with product, UX, engineering, and client stakeholders
  • Supporting agile delivery teams with technical leadership and architectural guidance
  • Helping clients modernise legacy environments and accelerate digital transformation initiatives
  • Conducting technical feasibility assessments, prototyping, and MVP delivery

AI-Enabled Architecture

The role also has a strong focus on emerging technologies and AI-enabled solutions.

You will contribute to:

  • Designing AI-enabled digital services and enterprise solutions
  • Implementing modern AI architecture patterns such as:
    • Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
    • Multi-agent orchestration
    • Vector search
    • Prompt chaining
    • Model fine-tuning
  • Developing rapid prototypes using cloud-native AI services and open-source technologies
  • Designing governance, guardrails, and evaluation frameworks for responsible AI adoption
  • Advising stakeholders on AI implementation, business value, and operational impact

Requirements

Candidates should have:

  • Experience delivering digital solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Strong background in solution architecture and cloud-native technologies
  • Experience working within agile delivery environments
  • Knowledge of microservices, APIs, SaaS, PaaS, and serverless architectures
  • Experience building prototypes, MVPs, or proof-of-concepts
  • Exposure to AI technologies or AI-enabled solution design
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to balance technical innovation with governance, scalability, and commercial objectives
