Senior Solutions Architect

6-Month Contract | Outside IR35 | Hybrid | Financial Services

We’re looking for 2 experienced Senior Solutions Architects to join a major transformation programme within Financial Services.

This is a genuinely end-to-end role. You’ll work with the business to understand processes and requirements, translate these into solution designs, and take them through to technical design and handover to engineering teams.

What we're looking for

  • Strong end-to-end Solution Architecture experience.
  • Excellent Microsoft Azure background with clear, hands-on examples.
  • UK Retail Banking experience – Mortgages & Savings would be ideal.
  • Experience delivering within large-scale, structured transformation programmes.
  • Ability to translate business processes and functional requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong understanding of integration, event-driven architecture, NFRs, resilience, performance and architecture patterns.
  • Experience creating architecture artefacts and handing designs over to engineering teams.
  • Confident communicator who can work effectively across Business Analysts, business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Evidence of Solution Architecture leadership and the ability to work independently in complex environments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
