Senior Solution Architect
📍 Hybrid - Bristol 2 days per week
We're looking for an experienced Senior Solution Architect on behalf of our client to lead the design and delivery of scalable software solutions across complex enterprise environments.
This is a hands-on architecture role, ideal for someone with a strong background in application architecture, software solution design, and system integration. You'll work closely with business and technology stakeholders, lead solution design workshops, and provide architectural guidance from discovery through to delivery.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading solution architecture across strategic programmes
- Running architecture workshops, discovery sessions, and solution reviews
- Translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and supportable solutions
- Producing solution designs, architecture documentation, and technical decision records
- Working closely with engineering and delivery teams to guide implementation
- Providing architectural oversight across applications, integrations, cloud, and data solutions
- Identifying technical risks and supporting governance activities

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or similar senior architecture role
- Strong background in application architecture and software solution design
- Experience designing integration solutions and API-led architectures
- Ability to lead architecture discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, ideally Microsoft Azure
- Experience working closely with software engineering and development teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have
- Experience within financial services or other regulated industries
- SaaS and cloud-native architecture experience
- Knowledge of Azure integration services, identity management, and security best practices
- Exposure to data and analytics platforms
- Understanding of DevOps and modern software delivery practices
