Senior Solutions Architect
A global technology organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to help shape and develop a suite of data-driven software platforms that support commercial operations, customer engagement and business growth.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role combining software architecture, full-stack development, cloud infrastructure and emerging AI technologies. You’ll help define the architecture of web applications, automated document generation systems and cloud-based platforms, making key technical decisions from initial design through to production deployment.
Working within a small, collaborative team, you’ll share technical ownership of the platform, mentor engineers and help evolve successful early-stage solutions into scalable, enterprise-grade applications.
The role offers the opportunity to influence technology strategy while remaining closely involved in coding, prototyping and delivering practical solutions to real business challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and development of scalable, multi-component software applications across the full stack.
- Design and implement backend services, APIs, frontend interfaces and integrations between enterprise systems.
- Develop production applications using Python, TypeScript and modern web technologies.
- Architect cloud-based solutions using AWS services, including Lambda, ECS/Fargate, S3 and API Gateway.
- Design and manage infrastructure using Terraform, Docker and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Evaluate new technologies through proof-of-concepts and make informed architectural recommendations.
- Explore and implement AI-powered capabilities, including LLM integrations, agent frameworks and tool-augmented workflows.
- Optimise application performance, reliability, security and maintainability across high-volume data environments.
- Work closely with product, analytics, data engineering and commercial stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Define integration patterns, authentication and authorisation approaches, API contracts and scalable system architectures.
- Support the evolution of early-stage applications into robust platforms suitable for enterprise deployment.
- Provide technical guidance, mentor engineers and promote software engineering best practices.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
