Job Description:
The Senior Solutions Engineer (SE) role is a dynamic and varied customer-focused technical position. SE's provide technical and cyber defense expertise in pre-sale sales, working together with our Key Account Managers to ensure customer needs are understood and met by Darktrace solutions.
Darktrace is currently expanding its technical team in the UK in order to specifically target onboarding the largest Enterprise customers in the country. We are looking for a senior hire who has experience working in pre-sales roles within the cyber security market. You'll be provided with extensive training and support as you further your existing skills in this role. This is a hybrid role, 2 days per week from our London office and there is an approximately 20% travel expectation.

What will I be doing:
As a Senior SE, in our EMEA Enterprise team, you will be designing and managing pre-sales Darktrace deployments alongside your sales counterpart, for the largest companies in the UK. You will develop strong technical relationships with customers and partners and establish yourself as a technical trusted advisor. Additional responsibilities include the following:
- Designing and documenting success criteria and business case materials
- Supporting responses to RFIs/RFPs
- Designing deployment plans and architectures for customers alongside the implementation team
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and technologies in order to differentiate against competitors and establish opportunities to integrate
- Evangelising Darktrace products at events, with partners and customers
- Contributing to go-to-market and product direction
What experience do I need:
We welcome applications from those with experience in a customer cyber role or software sales engineering role with demonstrated success in selling. You will be a confident, polished communicator with a proven ability to build lasting, critical business relationships. Our Senior SEs are able to use their initiative and can adapt to fast paced, challenging sales environments. You will also ideally meet the following requirements:
- Experience selling and ideally implementing security operations and technology in large, complex enterprises in multiple industry verticals, across a wide range of technology platforms
- Demonstrated success in selling to FTSE 100 customers
- Strong knowledge of both on-premise and cloud networking
- Strong knowledge in the cyber security domain
- Experience and proficiency in public speaking and can hold own in senior-level presentations and discussions
- Experience defining security strategies, and assisting with driving aligned outcomes
- Practical experience / understanding of threat actor tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs)
- Certification: Security+, CISSP, CEH, Pen Testing, Incident Response preferred
- AWS or Azure fundamentals strongly preferred
- Degree in STEM field preferred, other analytical studies considered
