Location: London Bridge
A fantastic opportunity for a Senior Sous Chef or experienced Head Chef to join an award-winning Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant in Borough Market, with genuine scope for progression and a strong, supportive team culture.
The Role
We are seeking a Senior Sous Chef or Co-Head Chef to join the team at an award-winning Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant in Borough Market. This is a creative, quality-led restaurant with a strong identity, serving bold, flavor-driven food with influences from across the globe. The kitchen is busy, well-staffed and focused on delivering consistently high standards across every service.
The Restaurant
- Award-winning Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant in Borough Market.
- Creative environment with open fire cooking and small plates.
- Team of around 11 chefs.
- 100 covers on a typical day, 200+ covers on busy weekends.
- Lunch and dinner service.
- Kitchen finishes around 10.30pm-11pm.

The Senior Sous Chef / Co-Head Chef Role
- Lead the kitchen team alongside the senior management.
- Run busy lunch and dinner services.
- Take responsibility for the kitchen when senior management are away.
- Lead the pass and make decisions during service.
- Support and develop the wider chef team.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Ensure health and safety and kitchen standards are maintained.
- Manage prep, service, and close-down.
- Help develop and refine dishes and menus.
- Train and coach junior members of the team.
- Keep the kitchen organized and well-prepared.
- Create a positive and respectful kitchen culture.
- Work closely with the Head Chef and wider management team.
The Ideal Senior Sous Chef / Co-Head Chef
- Senior Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef, or Head Chef experience.
- Strong experience in a busy, quality-led restaurant.
- Experience leading a team during high-volume services.
- Confidence to run a kitchen and lead a service.
- Excellent food and kitchen standards.
- Good knowledge of health and safety.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- A calm approach under pressure.
- A genuine interest in developing other chefs.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well with others.
- Backgrounds from quality-led, creative restaurants with open fire cooking would work particularly well.
