About The Role - Senior Sous Chef
At Lina Stores, we believe in Hospitality at Heart. As a Senior Sous Chef, you will play a key leadership role within the kitchen, working closely with the Head Chef to deliver outstanding food quality, kitchen performance, and service standards.
You will be a strong presence on the kitchen floor, supporting the Head Chef with the daily running of the kitchen while taking responsibility for the team, food quality, consistency, and smooth execution of service.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced chef who is passionate about Italian cuisine, enjoys leading people, and is ready to take the next step in their culinary leadership career.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Head Chef in the overall management and daily operation of the kitchen.
- Taking a senior leadership role during service and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Preparing and delivering exceptional Italian dishes with consistency, precision, and attention to detail.
- Leading, coaching, training, and motivating the kitchen team.
- Supporting the development of junior chefs and creating a positive learning environment.
- Maintaining consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, preparation, and hygiene.
- Managing kitchen organisation, mise en place, and service preparation.
- Supporting stock control, ordering, deliveries, and minimising food waste.
- Ensuring the kitchen operates in line with Food Safety, Health & Safety, and company standards.
- Working closely with the Head Chef and wider management team to improve kitchen performance.
- Taking responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence when required.
- Leading by example and promoting Lina Stores’ values of Heritage, Authenticity, and Quality.

Who We’re Looking For
- An experienced and confident chef with strong Italian cuisine knowledge.
- Passionate about Italian food, fresh ingredients, and authentic cooking.
- Experienced in leading and developing kitchen teams.
- Confident managing a busy service and making decisions under pressure.
- Organised, hands-on, and able to maintain high standards consistently.
- A strong communicator who works well with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
- Passionate about developing people and creating a positive kitchen culture.
- Commercially aware, with an understanding of food costs, stock control, and kitchen efficiency.
- Reliable, professional, and committed to delivering exceptional hospitality.
- Ideally qualified in Level 2 Food Hygiene and Health & Safety.
