We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team

In the Head Chef’s absence, you’ll confidently take responsibility for kitchen operations and ensure everything runs smoothly

What You'll Do

  • Delivering great food, helping ensure every dish leaving the kitchen meets our high standards for quality, presentation and consistency
  • Leading the team, supporting, training, supervising and motivating the kitchen team, creating a positive and professional working environment and leading by example
  • Keeping the kitchen running smoothly, delegating duties effectively, help managing rotas and staffing levels, and making sure the kitchen is prepared to meet the needs of the business
  • Managing stock & suppliers, supporting ordering and stock control, liaising with suppliers, maintaining competitive pricing and ensure all deliveries meet the standards we expect
  • Communicating across the business, maintaining excellent communication with the Head Chef, Restaurant Manager and senior team through daily briefs, meetings and effective day-to-day communication
  • Maintaining high standards, ensuring food hygiene, uniform, quality control, health and safety and COSHH requirements are consistently followed by the whole kitchen team
  • Taking ownership, when the Head Chef is away, confidently deal with any guest complaints or operational issues that may arise

What We're Looking For

  • Excellent kitchen leadership and organisational skills
  • Must have a passion for producing consistently high-quality food
  • Must have excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
  • Must have good communication skills and a positive, professional approach
  • Must have the confidence managing stock, deliveries and kitchen operations
  • Must have the ability to remain calm and organised during busy services
  • Must have a hands-on approach – you’re happy to lead from the front and support wherever needed

Additional Information

  • 45 hours per week – Full-Time permanent position
  • Working 5 days out of 7 per week (including weekends and bank holidays, you will need to be flexible to the business needs)
  • Salary: £40,000 per annum
  • Shift Patterns: 7:00am-3:00pm 10:00am-6:00pm 3:00pm-11:00pm
  • Right to work in the UK required as time of application (visa sponsorship is not available)
