Senior Sous Chef
North London | £50,000–£55,000 | Immediate Start
The Head Chef is looking for a mature, highly driven and technically accomplished Senior Sous Chef who has mastered all sections of the kitchen and has the leadership ability, experience and discipline to play a key role in the day-to-day running of the brigade.
This is a hands-on senior leadership position for a chef who takes genuine pride in maintaining consistently exceptional standards and understands the importance of precision, consistency, organisation and teamwork.
The Role
As Senior Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to oversee the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food, service, team performance and kitchen organisation are maintained at all times.
You will be expected to:
- Take a senior leadership role within the kitchen, leading by example and setting exceptionally high standards.
- Work closely with the Head Chef on the day-to-day running and organisation of the kitchen.
- Have mastered all sections of a professional kitchen and be confident stepping into any section when required.
- Maintain exceptional standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
- Ensure all kitchen processes, systems and standards are followed consistently.
- Assist with menu development, preparation and implementation where required.
- Oversee service and ensure the kitchen operates smoothly, efficiently and calmly under pressure.
- Maintain excellent levels of organisation, cleanliness and discipline throughout the kitchen.
- Assist with ordering, stock control, prep and kitchen administration.
- Act as a key support to the Head Chef and provide strong leadership in their absence.
- Demonstrate consistency, reliability and a genuine long-term commitment to the restaurant.

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an experienced Senior Sous Chef with a proven track record within high-end, quality-driven kitchens.
Ideally, you will have experience within a Michelin-starred or multiple Rosette environment, with a strong grounding in modern European cuisine and the ability to lead a high-performing brigade.
Most importantly, the Head Chef is looking for someone who brings:
