Salary: £15.50 per hour
Hours: 40-hour contract + paid overtime

We are looking for an ambitious and talented Hotel Senior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at a hotel in Maidstone, Kent.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Sous Chef who is looking to take the next step towards becoming a Head Chef. We are seeking someone who is passionate about food, committed to high standards, and eager to develop their career within a supportive and growing business. The hotel has restaurant and function business.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team to deliver consistently high standards.
- Train, mentor, and develop junior and less experienced chefs.
- Maintain food quality, presentation, and consistency across all services.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards.
- Manage kitchen operations effectively in the Head Chef's absence.
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste.

What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a busy kitchen.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Calm and organised under pressure.
- Passion for developing and coaching other chefs.
- Strong understanding of kitchen management and food safety procedures.
- Ambitious, career-driven, and ready to progress towards a Head Chef role.
