SOUS CHEF – UP TO £45,000 PER YEAR
We are looking for an experienced, passionate and highly motivated Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.
Salary: Up to £45,000 per year, depending on experience
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong and ambitious chef who is confident working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen and is ready to take on a senior role with real responsibility. As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen. You will be expected to lead by example, support and motivate the kitchen team, and maintain consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, organisation and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head Chef with the daily management and operation of the kitchen
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team during preparation and service
- Ensure dishes are prepared and presented consistently to a high standard
- Maintain excellent food quality, portion control and presentation
- Assist with stock management, ordering and stock rotation
- Help control food costs, waste and kitchen expenditure
- Ensure all food safety, hygiene and HACCP procedures are followed
- Maintain a clean, organised and professional kitchen environment
- Train, support and develop junior members of the kitchen team
- Assist with staff organisation and kitchen preparation
- Take responsibility for kitchen operations in the Head Chef’s absence
- Work effectively under pressure during busy services
- Communicate professionally with both kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Help maintain consistency and high standards across every service

What We’re Looking For:
We are looking for someone with previous experience in a Sous Chef or strong senior kitchen position. You should have excellent kitchen knowledge, strong organisational skills and the confidence to lead a team. The ideal candidate will be reliable, hardworking and able to remain calm and organised under pressure. You should have a genuine passion for food and take pride in maintaining consistently high standards.
