Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day management of the kitchen operation
- Lead and inspire the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food and service standards
- Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control
- Assist with menu development and seasonal dish creation
- Manage stock control, ordering, and food cost targets
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and COSHH regulations
- Support recruitment, training, and development of junior chefs
- Maintain a positive and professional kitchen culture
Person Specification
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a quality hospitality environment
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and high-quality food
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen compliance
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
