Are you an experienced Sous Chef with a passion for delivering exceptional events?

We are looking for an Events Senior Sous Chef to join the team at Sky Garden, working in partnership with the Rhubarb Events team to deliver outstanding culinary experiences across a diverse portfolio of corporate, private and VIP events. This is a fantastic opportunity for a operationally strong chef who thrives in a fast-paced events environment and enjoys leading teams to deliver exceptional food at every service.

As Events Senior Sous Chef, you will oversee production and event execution across Sky Garden, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, consistency and guest experience.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading the planning, preparation and delivery of all events at Sky Garden.
  • Managing kitchen operations for multiple events and services, ensuring smooth execution from preparation through to delivery.
  • Acting as the key culinary link between the Rhubarb Events team and Sky Garden operations to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Supporting and developing chefs to successfully execute event menus, recipes, service styles and presentation standards.
  • Assisting with menu development, tastings and the implementation of innovative food concepts across a variety of event formats.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef within an events, banqueting, hospitality, hotel or premium catering environment.
  • Strong experience delivering events while maintaining exceptional food quality and presentation standards.
  • A confident and hands-on leader with the ability to motivate, coach and develop kitchen teams.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working closely with operations and event teams.

Good to know

This is a fully site-based role split between Sky Garden and our South West London Events Kitchen. You'll work across production in our Events Kitchen and then delivery of the events at Sky Garden. This role is offering a salary of £47,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.

You'll be joining one of London's leading events and hospitality teams, delivering everything from intimate VIP dinners and private celebrations to large-scale corporate functions and exclusive hospitality events. The role offers the opportunity to work at a renowned venue while playing a key part in shaping and delivering exceptional event experiences. The position requires flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, in line with the demands of a busy events calendar. Travel costs to Sky Garden events are covered one way.
