An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Spatial Designer to join an independent and ambitious spatial design studio based in East London. Working across retail, hospitality, workplace, and experiential environments for leading global brands, this is a hands-on creative role offering the opportunity to take ownership of projects from initial concept through to final delivery. The successful candidate will combine strong conceptual thinking with excellent technical and practical knowledge and will play a key role in driving the quality of the studio's creative output.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead spatial design projects from initial concept through design development to final delivery
- Develop strong creative concepts and translate them into considered, commercially viable, and buildable spatial solutions
- Produce and oversee space planning, 3D design, visualisation, material selection, detailing, specifications, and design intent drawing packages
- Work closely with the Creative Director to develop and strengthen the creative direction of projects
- Manage projects day-to-day, overseeing priorities, deadlines, resources, and deliverables
- Present concepts and design thinking confidently to clients and build strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, and suppliers
- Identify potential project challenges early and develop creative and practical solutions
- Review and guide the work of other designers, helping to maintain and elevate design standards across the studio

Person Specification
- Established Senior Designer experience within a spatial, retail, experiential, interiors, or architectural design studio, with a strong portfolio of commercially realised projects
- Significant experience designing retail and branded environments, with experience across hospitality, workplace, or experiential projects also advantageous
- Excellent conceptual and spatial design skills combined with strong knowledge of materials, fabrication, construction, and detailing
- Excellent SketchUp skills are essential, alongside strong Vectorworks and rendering/visualisation skills, ideally including V-Ray
- A confident, proactive, and culturally aware designer with strong client-facing skills, commercial awareness, and experience leading projects and mentoring other designers

The role is based in Hackney, London, with hybrid working available, including the flexibility to work remotely for up to three days per week.
