We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist to join our Payments Investigations team. This role is in Manchester, UK.
The Senior Specialist, Client Processing role plays a pivotal role within the Payment Investigation function, contributing to BNY's strategic pillars. The role is responsible for managing complex payment investigations, resolving client queries efficiently, and collaborating across teams to mitigate risk, enhance service delivery, and support strong client outcomes. Through proactive problem solving, attention to detail, and partnership with internal and external stakeholders, the Senior Specialist helps strengthen client trust while supporting the broader objectives of operational resilience and sustainable business performance.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Supports client service by responding to queries promptly, providing clear and accurate updates, and helping to ensure a positive client experience throughout the investigation lifecycle.
- Solves complex problems based on an understanding and knowledge of the intricacies of the system.
- Integrates in-depth area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices to provide solutions to internal and external clients. Provides support to lower-level client processing roles.
- May be responsible for allocating and checking work of other team members. May be responsible for specific supervisory review, training and approval actions.
- Contributes to the achievement of related team’s objectives including process improvement using AI and other digital tools available.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or related field is preferred.
- 3-5 years’ experience in industry, transaction processing/ investigations or related field within financial services.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams.
