This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-profile leadership role, driving global standards, influencing policy, and shaping how construction projects are delivered worldwide.

The Opportunity

In this influential role, you will:

  • Lead the development of global standards, guidance, and best practice across project management and quantity surveying
  • Act as a trusted expert, advising on complex commercial, contractual, and delivery issues
  • Represent RICS at senior levels with government bodies, global clients, and industry leaders
  • Drive thought leadership and market insight across construction and infrastructure sectors
  • Oversee a portfolio of strategic projects, ensuring delivery to time, quality, and budget
  • Support the evolution of professional competencies and frameworks

Your Impact

You will play a pivotal role in:

  • Shaping how construction projects are planned, procured, and delivered globally
  • Driving consistency in cost management, procurement strategy, and commercial performance
  • Influencing industry standards across:
    • Risk allocation and contract strategy
    • Cost certainty and value optimisation
    • Governance and delivery assurance
  • Strengthening RICS' position as a global leader in professional standards

What You'll Bring

We're looking for a highly credible professional with:

  • Ideally a MRICS or FRICS qualification in Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or related discipline
  • Expertise in:
    • Commercial and cost management
    • Construction project/programme delivery
    • Procurement and contract frameworks
  • The ability and communication style to influence senior stakeholders across government and industry
  • Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to respond to emerging industry challenges
