Senior Specialist, Corporate Actions
Corporate Actions | Asset Servicing | Custody Operations | Investment Operations
Hybrid – 4 days onsite
Full-time | Competitive salary

About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced operations professional to join a leading global financial services organisation within its Corporate Actions team in Manchester.
You will be responsible for managing and processing corporate actions data accurately, communicating with clients, and ensuring transactions are completed within strict market deadlines.
This is a data-focused operational role requiring strong attention to detail, confidence using Excel, and experience working with reconciliations, customer information, and financial services systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture and validate corporate actions data received from multiple data providers
- Process transaction and customer data accurately within strict market deadlines
- Identify, investigate, and correct data or processing errors
- Perform data reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Communicate with clients by email and telephone when required
- Use multiple internal and bespoke systems to input, update, and extract information
- Maintain clear workflow notes and accurate audit trails
- Manage your own workload and prioritize time-sensitive activities
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support accurate and timely processing
- Contribute to improvements in processes, controls, and operational efficiency

Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience within financial services operations
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of formulas
- Experience reconciling data and investigating discrepancies
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Evidence of identifying and correcting errors within a process or procedure
- Experience working with customer or client data
- Ability to work effectively under short, market-driven deadlines
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience maintaining accurate system or workflow notes

Desirable Experience
- Corporate Actions, Asset Servicing, Custody, or Investment Operations experience
- Experience using bespoke financial services or workflow systems
- Exposure to transaction processing or securities operations
- Previous client communication experience by telephone and email
- Experience working within a highly regulated operational environment
The Ideal Candidate
You will be organized, highly numerate, and comfortable working with detailed financial and customer data. You will have a strong control mindset, take ownership of deadlines, and be confident investigating discrepancies to ensure transactions are processed accurately.
