Job Description

Purpose of the Role

Performance on and off the track is driven by smart decisions. As Finance Business Partner – Business Performance, you will bring financial insight to the functions that help drive McLaren Racing’s culture, people performance, environment, business operations and finance activities.

Working closely with Directors, Heads of Function and budget owners, you will build robust financial plans, provide meaningful analysis and challenge, and help stakeholders make confident, value-focused decisions. This is an opportunity to influence business performance in a fast-paced, high-performing environment while developing trusted partnerships across the organisation.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with Business Performance functions, providing clear financial insight on results, trends, risks and opportunities to support decision-making.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning activities, challenging assumptions and helping stakeholders achieve their objectives.
  • Evaluate projects, investments and cost drivers, ensuring decisions are commercially sound and deliver value.
  • Support compliance with Formula One Financial Regulations, maintain effective budgetary controls, and contribute to accurate month-end reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement by enhancing reporting, planning tools, financial processes and the overall quality of business insight.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
